In Kamensky, a driver abandoned a damaged car in the middle of the road on the opposite lane and fled the scene (PHOTO).

On Wednesday, January 15, residents of Kamensky, traveling from the right bank to the left bank, noticed a battered car parked against the flow of traffic. Nearby was a law enforcement vehicle. This situation raised many questions among witnesses. This information was reported by "Vydomo" referencing "Reporter".

According to Elena Timchenko, the senior communication inspector of the Kamensky district police department, a report was received on January 15 at approximately 06:30. Citizens informed that a damaged vehicle was standing on the bridge crossing, and there were signs of an accident near the "Matador" cafe.

Upon arrival at the accident scene, the police indeed found the battered vehicle, but the driver was not present.

The police established that the accident occurred on January 15, shortly after midnight. A Chevrolet vehicle collided with a road barrier.

Later, the police identified the driver of the Chevrolet.

Several administrative protocols were drawn up against the driver:

• under Article 124 (violation of traffic rules);
• under Part 4 of Article 130 (consumption of alcohol or drugs by a person operating a vehicle after being involved in a traffic accident);
• under Article 122-4 (leaving the scene of a traffic accident);
• under Part 1 of Article 139 (damage to roads, streets, and road structures).
