In the center of Dnipro, near the popular shopping center "MOST-City," a makeshift home built by homeless individuals was destroyed by fire. This was reported by Suspilne, as conveyed by "Vidomo."
The fire occurred on November 6 at around 10:00 PM. The makeshift structure, created by the homeless from available materials, was completely burned down. Four people and a dog were living there. Rescuers extinguished the blaze that same night.
According to Olga, a resident of the burned shelter, their home was deliberately set on fire as an act of revenge. She claims that it was the husband of a woman who was expelled from the makeshift home.
"His wife lived with us, but she started causing problems, so we kicked her out. And her lover began to take revenge when he found out about it. He threw a Molotov cocktail right into the tent. It caught fire so unexpectedly that we didn't even understand what was happening," – Olga shared.
During the fire, Sergey was inside the makeshift shelter. He burned his hands while trying to salvage belongings from the tent. He is grateful to be alive, but now he doesn't know where to go.
As stated by the police department of the Dnipro region, they have not received any reports of intentional arson.
