Dnipro has introduced its first diagonal crosswalk (PHOTOS, VIDEO).

A diagonal pedestrian crossing has appeared in a popular recreational area for residents near the "Most-City" shopping mall, marking the first of its kind in the city. This information was reported by "Vidomo".

Back in February 2022, just ten days before the war began, city officials announced the upcoming installation of this crossing at the intersection of Kharkivska and Hlinka streets, drawing inspiration from the experience of Tokyo, the capital of Japan.

Now, instead of having to cross the road twice and waiting for the traffic light, residents and visitors of Dnipro can cross the busy intersection directly, saving time.

New traffic lights have also been installed at this location. The "green" light illuminates simultaneously at all signals, completely halting traffic at the intersection and allowing pedestrians to cross in all directions.
