Starting November 1, the speed limit on the roads of Dnipro will be reduced to 50 km/h. The traffic rules remain unchanged; they simply transition to the "winter period." This was reported by the First Deputy Head of the Patrol Police Department of Ukraine, Alexey Beloshitsky, as conveyed by "Vidomo."
"The traffic rules are not changing – they are transitioning to the winter period. Traffic rule 12.8 has been in existence for a long time, and the possibility of establishing a different speed limit for the summer period is provided there. Several cities have utilized these options. In certain areas where road conditions and traffic safety permit, higher speed limit signs have been installed. That is, 80 km/h during the summer period. This period is now ending, and starting November 1, these signs will be changed to the standard limits," – explained Beloshitsky.
Thus, in Dnipro, the speed limit is reduced from 70 km/h to 50 km/h on the following sections:
– 200 m on both sides of the intersection with Akademika Pavlova Street;
– from the slag heap exit to the turnaround to the Khaidakskiy Bridge;
– 50 m on both sides of uncontrolled pedestrian crossings in the area of intersections with Fatima Hafurova Street (SK "Ice Arena" and Metrostroevska Street);
On streets and roads where automatic monitoring of traffic violations is implemented, particularly on Naberezhna Zavodska, 64 and Naberezhna Peremohy, 38-A in Dnipro, the automatic violation detection systems will be reconfigured to the currently permitted speed.
