On the morning of Wednesday, January 15, Russians carried out rocket attacks on Ukraine, with most missiles targeted at western regions. Emergency power outages were implemented in six regions, which were lifted in two of them after 9 AM.
"Due to the massive attack, the transmission system operator is taking preventive measures to limit power supply", — wrote on Facebook the head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy, Herman Galushchenko.
Update 9:45 DTEK informed that emergency power outages have been lifted in Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions. Any changes will be communicated additionally.
In "Ukrenergo," identified the regions where emergency outages were implemented due to the massive rocket attack. This includes Kharkiv, Sumy, Poltava, Zaporizhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kirovohrad regions.
As reported on the DTEK Dnipro EM website, emergency outages were introduced by the order of "NEK Ukrenergo." The outage schedules are currently not in effect.
"Please conserve electricity if you have it, to help stabilize the system", — the energy workers appealed to the residents of the region.
Also, starting from 7:12 AM on Wednesday, emergency outage schedules (GAO) were introduced in Kirovohrad region. This directive was issued by "Ukrenergo," reported "Kirovohradoblenergo."
Earlier, "Telegraph" reported whether Ukraine plans to raise electricity tariffs. The information circulating online was commented on by the Ministry of Energy. They stated that there is no decision or draft decision regarding the revision of electricity tariffs for the population. This issue is not on the agenda at all.
