Passed away is Oleg Makarov, a people's deputy of Ukraine from the "Holos" party. The distinguished lawyer and public figure died at the age of 59.
During his career, he served as the secretary of the Committee on Legal Policy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. The loss was reported by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. However, the cause of death has not been disclosed.
Oleg Makarov was born on July 24, 1965, in Kyiv. His professional journey began after graduating from the Faculty of International Relations at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv in 1989, majoring in "International Law."
He then pursued postgraduate studies at the Institute of International Relations of KNU. In 2013, he earned an MBA from the Edinburgh Business School at Heriot-Watt University in the UK.
Since 1992, Oleg Makarov worked as the managing partner of a law firm. From 2007, he held the position of Deputy Chairman of the Disciplinary Chamber of the Kyiv City Qualification and Disciplinary Commission of the Bar.
In 2015, he became a member of the Ethics Commission of the Ukrainian Bar Association. Before being elected as a people's deputy, he worked in the Kyiv City Council of the VIII convocation, where he chaired the permanent commission on regulations and deputy ethics. In 2019, Oleg Makarov became a people's deputy of Ukraine of the 9th convocation from the "Holos" party.
Earlier, "Telegraph" also reported that a well-known investor in Ukraine passed away. He was listed among the 100 richest Ukrainians.
