A content creator on "Only Fans" contributed over 10 million hryvnias to the budget. However, this was not voluntary; it occurred after she was "invited to declare" her earnings by the State Tax Service.
This was reported by the head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Taxation, and Customs Policy, Danilo Hetmantsev. He mentioned that a citizen identified as "S" earned income from creating paid content on the "Only Fans" internet platform, and following discussions with the tax authorities, she paid over 13.2 million hryvnias in personal income tax and military levy to the budget.
"I advise all Ukrainians who have received foreign income from electronic platforms to declare their earnings as soon as possible. The relevant information is available in the State Tax Service," Hetmantsev added.
For reference: OnlyFans is a platform for publishing video, photo, and audio content. It is most popular in the adult entertainment industry but is also used by trainers, fitness instructors, musicians, bloggers, and other public figures. Access to the content is provided through a paid subscription, allowing content creators to receive funding directly from their subscribers on a monthly basis, as well as tips and pay-per-view options.
As reported by "Telegraph," the State Tax Service of Ukraine has developed proposals for legislative changes that would allow it to gain access to the banking secrecy of individuals and businesses. This could have a significant impact on the relationships between tax authorities, banks, and taxpayers.
