On the night of January 20, Russians once again attacked Ukraine with Shahed drones. The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine recorded a massive attack by enemy drones across several regions.

In particular, explosions were reported in the Sumy, Khmelnytskyi, Kyiv, and other regions of the country. This information is reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Sumy region suffered the most significant blow, where air defense forces destroyed 22 enemy Shahed-type drones. The Russians also launched ballistic missile strikes on the city of Shostka in the Sumy region.

As a result of the attack, explosions were heard in Chernihiv and the Nizhyn district of Chernihiv region, in the Bilozerka district of Kyiv region, and in the territories of Khmelnytskyi, Dnipropetrovsk, and Mykolaiv regions. The enemy also attacked Pyriatyn in Poltava region and Bershad in Vinnytsia region.

In the Kharkiv region, a 14-year-old girl sustained shrapnel injuries due to the dropping of a guided aerial bomb on the city of Zolochiv.

Additionally, explosions were reported in the vicinity of Kyiv. Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko announced the operation of air defense systems.

As of 5 AM, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that no drones were detected in the airspace of Ukraine.
