The first days of February have brought real winter weather to Ukraine. The air temperature has dropped to negative values across all regions, and the country has been hit by a wave of snowfall.
This is evidenced by data from the Ventusky weather radar. However, according to meteorologists' forecasts, the snowy curtain will not last long.
On February 5, snowfall will cover the Ternopil, Khmelnytsky, and Chernivtsi regions, reaching Volyn. In the eastern part of the country, snow will fall in the Sumy and Kharkiv regions.
The following day, February 6, the snow will shift to the Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Chernivtsi regions. Precipitation will also affect the central part of Ukraine – Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, and partially Poltava regions.
According to the Ventusky meteorological radar, from February 7 to February 17, no snowfall is expected in Ukraine.
As for temperature readings, on February 5, the coldest weather will be in Prykarpattia, where the daytime temperature will be -4°C. In other regions, thermometers will show -2°C, while in the south, it will be around 0°C.
On February 6, temperatures will drop even further – across most of Ukraine, thermometer readings will fluctuate between -4 and -2°C. Only in the southern part of the country will it be slightly warmer – around 0°C.
On February 7, the cold will intensify — in Prykarpattia and the eastern regions, daytime temperatures will fall to -7…-5°C. At night in Prykarpattia, thermometers will drop to -11°C. For several days, daytime air temperatures in Ukraine will range between -6…-4°C.
