The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has signed the law on the state budget for 2025. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, on Telegram.
"The priority of the budget remains the defense of our state. Funding for the Security and Defense Forces, procurement and production of weapons, drones, and equipment. We are allocating 2.23 trillion UAH for this," Shmyhal noted.
According to him, 420.9 billion UAH will be directed towards social protection, 217 billion UAH for healthcare, and 199 billion UAH for education. He also mentioned that total expenditures for the next year are planned at 3.6 trillion UAH, while revenues are projected at 2.05 trillion UAH.
"The government clearly understands that we will navigate the next financial year confidently. We have cohesion among the branches of power and strong support from our partners," the Prime Minister added.
State Budget for 2025 - What We Know
On November 27, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced that the laws on the state budget for 2025 and amendments to the tax code will be signed in the coming days and will take effect on December 1. This is one of the key requirements of our creditors, including the IMF.
People's Deputy and member of the VR Committee on Human Rights, Maksym Tkachенко, stated that approximately 48.6 billion UAH is allocated in the state budget of Ukraine for 2025 for payments to internally displaced persons (IDPs). He also mentioned that IDPs will soon be able to receive another new type of assistance.
