The Armed Forces of Ukraine struck Russian occupiers on the western outskirts of the city of Toretsk. This was reported by the project DeepState.

"The situation in the city is very chaotic, with Russian infantry infiltrating deep into the city and attempting to hide and establish positions in residential buildings," analysts from the project detailed.

According to their information, the Defense Forces are making efforts to locate and eliminate the occupiers, but this is extremely difficult due to the dense urban environment and the large number of Russian troops.

Situation in the Toretsk Area

On January 3, Ukrainian serviceman Yevgeny Ievlev reported that the situation at the Orlovsk direction, near Toretsk, is stable. "The defense line has not moved in this direction for over 2 months. This is because the enemy cannot sustain such a volume of offensive actions. There are four priority directions for their offensives - Kurakhove, Pokrovsk, Chasiv Yar, and Toretsk. We had to take up more or less well-prepared positions where we can hold back the enemy," Ievlev said.

On January 4, the acting commander of the "Tsunami" regiment of the united assault brigade "Rage," with the call sign "Mansur," reported that Russians continue to storm Toretsk, using ATVs and motorcycles, and are deliberately destroying apartment buildings in the city.
