In January, Russian troops captured 325 square kilometers of Ukrainian territory. This information is reported by the analytical project DeepState.
It is noted that the Russian occupiers continue to conduct active offensive operations in many areas, but almost everywhere, the Ukrainian Defense Forces manage to slow down the pace of the advance.
"Significant enemy advances mainly occur due to our repeated mistakes," the report states.
As indicated by the released infographic, in December 2024, Russian invaders captured 394 sq.km, in November - 730 sq.km, and in October - 503. Last year, the Russians made their most significant advances into Ukrainian territory specifically in November.
