In the coming days, Ukraine is expected to experience light snowfall, but it will not lead to a significant snow cover. This was stated by Natalia Ptukha, a meteorologist from the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, in a comment to Weather UNIAN.

She noted that there is a noticeable return of winter weather patterns. "In the next few days, cold air of Arctic origin will flow into Ukraine from the northern directions," she mentioned.

However, despite the increased atmospheric pressure, we are still located in the rear part of a high-altitude cyclone that is situated to the east of Ukraine.

"Therefore, light snow will fall in most regions. But the overcast sky will protect the air from significant cooling. This means we do not expect any severe frosts...," the meteorologist said.

On February 4, there may be light snow in some areas of Ukraine, except for most southern regions, and on February 5, in the northeastern and eastern regions, in the Carpathians, and in Precarpathia. On February 6, light snow may also occur in the southeastern part of Ukraine.

"There will not be any substantial snow cover, of course. However, in some places, there may be 1-2, up to 3 centimeters of snow on the flat areas of Ukraine. In the Carpathians, it will be a bit more," Ptukha explained.

Additionally, she mentioned that in the east and southeast of the country, icy conditions may already form on the roads in some areas.

"The temperature in general over the next few days will range from 0° to -7° at night. This is just within the norm. During the day, temperatures will be from -3° to +3°. The coolest temperatures will be in the Carpathians: at night, it will be -6° to -13°, and during the day, 0° to -5°," the expert noted.

According to her, by the end of the week, the high-altitude cyclone will move away from the eastern borders of Ukraine, resulting in less cloud cover and more clear skies.

"A high-pressure area, an anticyclone, will strengthen from the northeast, leading to precipitation-free weather by the end of the week," Ptukha said, adding that nighttime temperatures will be -2° to -8°, -7° to -12° in the Carpathians, while daytime highs will range from -3° to +3°, with +1° to +6° possible only in Transcarpathia.
