The future special representative of the elected U.S. President Donald Trump for Ukraine, retired General Keith Kellogg, stated that his goal is to find a solution to end Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine within 100 days of Trump's inauguration.

He made this statement during an appearance on Fox News. According to Kellogg, both he and Donald Trump understand that they have little time to find a solution. The elected president wants to end the war as quickly as possible.

"People need to understand: he is not trying to give anything to Putin or the Russians. He is actually trying to save Ukraine and its sovereignty," emphasized the future special representative for Ukraine.

He also noted that he believes Biden's "biggest mistake" was refusing to speak with the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin for more than two years. At the same time, Trump is inclined to do so.

The retired general believes that the elected U.S. president will be able to propose an acceptable solution to the Kremlin leader and President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky "in the short term."

"I would like to set a goal, both personally and professionally, I would say, let’s establish it at the level of 100 days," he added.

Trump's Plans to End the War in Ukraine

The elected U.S. president Donald Trump repeatedly stated during his campaign that he would end Russia's war against Ukraine within 24 hours. After winning the election, he acknowledged that the issue is much more complicated.

The Atlantic reports that Trump is facing harsh realities, where Russia has no intention of ending its war through negotiations that would leave Ukraine as a sovereign state.

Now, Trump must choose between accepting a humiliating strategic defeat on the world stage or immediately doubling American support for Ukraine while there is still time. This choice will determine not only Ukraine's fate but also the success of the Republican presidency.
