The President of the United States, Donald Trump, announced that his administration is in negotiations regarding the war in Ukraine with both Moscow and Kyiv.
As reported by CNN, Trump told reporters that his administration has "meetings and negotiations" planned with Ukraine, Russia, and "various parties."
"We are dealing with Ukraine and Russia, we have meetings and negotiations scheduled with various parties, including Ukraine and Russia. And I believe these discussions are actually going quite well," Trump stated.
Trump and the War in Ukraine
Previously, Donald Trump stated that he is having "very serious" discussions with Russia about ending the war in Ukraine.
Commenting on this statement, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that excluding Ukraine from negotiations between the U.S. and Russia regarding the war would be "very dangerous."
He also expressed his belief that the negotiations to end the war in Ukraine should involve not only the U.S., Ukrainians, and Russians, but also representatives of the European Union.
Additionally, the U.S. envoy to Ukraine, Kurt Volker, previously stated that the postponed presidential and parliamentary elections in Ukraine should be held by the end of the year. However, Ukrainian President's communications advisor, Dmitry Litvin, called this plan a failure.
