For nearly a century, Russia faces a winter "apocalypse," and women have been granted permission to stay home from work (video).

"Unbelievable Weather Chaos: Cities in Russia Are Being Devastated by Record Snowfall and Ferocious Winds! Watch Shocking Footage of Passengers Struggling Through Blizzards and Buildings Being Torn Apart! You Won't Believe What Happens Next!"
В России произошел зимний "апокалипсис" впервые за почти 100 лет, и женщинам разрешили не выходить на работу (видео).

A number of regions in Russia have been hit by severe weather. In Blagoveshchensk (a city on the border with China), the snowfall has caused a traffic collapse, while in Yakutia and Vladivostok, strong winds are knocking people off their feet and tearing roofs off buildings.

As reported by Russian media, Blagoveshchensk is experiencing record precipitation levels not seen in 97 years — with 89% of the monthly norm already fallen. A video has surfaced showing passengers having to exit a bus and push it through the blizzard and snowdrifts that are over a meter high.

Meanwhile, in Yakutia, wind gusts in some areas reached 33-38 m/s during the night of November 26. In the village of Tiksi, kindergartens and schools have been closed for the second day, and women have been granted permission to stay home from work. Footage shows a woman being literally blown off her feet.

Vladivostok is also experiencing strong winds — cladding and roofs are being ripped from buildings, and fences are being blown down. This is accompanied by icy conditions, resulting in traffic accidents, and moving around the city on foot has also become very difficult. More than fifty homes are without electricity. Students are being moved to online learning.

As reported by "Telegraf," Turkey has been struck by a powerful snowstorm affecting 20 provinces across the country. In the Hekimhan area, five shepherds became trapped in the snow. One of them died in the hospital.
