The special representative of elected U.S. President Donald Trump concerning the war in Ukraine, General Keith Kellogg, has postponed his planned trip to Kyiv and other European capitals until Trump's inauguration on January 20. This information was reported by Reuters, citing informed sources.

As previously mentioned by the publication, Kellogg had initially intended to visit Kyiv to meet with Ukrainian officials in early January. His team was also arranging meetings with officials in other European capitals, including Rome and Paris.

"However, the trip, which would have marked the first visit of new officials from the Trump administration to Kyiv after the November 5 elections, has been delayed. Kellogg is now expected to travel to Ukraine following Trump's inauguration, although a specific date has yet to be determined," the article states.

At the same time, Reuters notes that it remains unclear why Kellogg is postponing the trip.

Donald Trump and Ukraine

During the election campaign, Trump repeatedly stated that he could resolve the war in Ukraine within 24 hours of taking office and referred to this issue as his key priority.

Meanwhile, earlier reports indicated that Trump's team is still in the process of discussing its strategy.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky believes that elected U.S. President Donald Trump has the ability to stop Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. However, he expressed concern that after Trump's term ends, Putin may attack again.
