The Russian invading forces landed on boats across the Oskol River, south of the settlement of Novomlins'k.
Analysts from the Ukrainian project DeepState describe this operation as unexpected. According to their information, the occupiers swam across from Dvurechne and established themselves on the western bank. The operation was not conducted for media effect, as they managed to seize positions held by one of the Ukrainian brigades:
"Such events lead to an increase in artillery and mortar fire, so we remind the residents of Dvurechans'ka and Kup'yans'ka communities about evacuation."
