During the night and morning of February 1, Russian invaders launched 165 various types of weaponry at Ukraine, including dozens of missiles of different kinds and over 120 drones. This was reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine via Telegram.
"On the night of February 1, 2025, Russian occupiers carried out a combined strike against Ukraine using missiles of various types launched from air, sea, and ground, as well as strike drones of the Shahed type and other types of imitation drones," the report states.
Specifically, the radio-technical troops of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine detected and tracked 165 enemy aerial targets:
- 7 ballistic missiles "Iskander-M"/KN-23 (launch areas - from occupied Crimea and the Voronezh region);
- 7 cruise missiles "Iskander-K" (from occupied Crimea and captured parts of the Donetsk region);
- 8 cruise missiles X-22/32 launched from Tu-22M3 aircraft;
- 8 cruise missiles X-101/X-55SM from strategic bombers Tu-95MS;
- 10 guided air-to-surface missiles X-59/X-69 from tactical aviation (launched from the Voronezh region);
- 2 guided air-to-surface missiles X-31P (from the Black Sea area);
- 123 strike drones Shahed/imitation drones of various types (launch areas - Kursk, Orel, Millerovo, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as Cape Chauda in occupied Crimea).
Moreover, preliminary data indicates that 56 strike drones Shahed/imitation drones of various types were shot down, while another 61 drones did not reach their targets (lost in location).
Additionally, some enemy cruise missiles were destroyed by air defense forces.
"A significant portion of the missiles, due to active resistance from the Defense Forces, did not reach their targets. However, there were some hits, particularly from missiles approaching the target on a ballistic trajectory. Detailed information about the enemy's missiles will not be disclosed yet," the report states.
Updated. In the initial report from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, it was also noted that the Russians struck Ukraine with 4 cruise missiles "Kalibr" from carriers in the Black Sea. However, this information was later removed, noting that the corresponding launches did not occur.
Massive Russian Strike on Ukraine on February 1
As reported by UNIAN, on February 1, during the morning missile attack, the Russians struck an apartment building in Poltava, resulting in casualties and injuries. The entrance from the 1st to the 5th floor was destroyed. According to the latest data, the death toll in Poltava has risen to 7, with the number of injured increasing to 14.
In Kharkiv, as a result of the Russian attack, one person was killed due to a strike by a drone. This Russian attack claimed the lives of two individuals in the Sumy region.
On the evening of January 31, Russian occupiers launched a missile strike on Odesa. It is known that an elite hotel, "Bristol," located on Italian Street in the city center, was damaged - one of the oldest buildings in Odesa.
