The Russian occupying forces have once again taken control of the village of Novomlynsk, located in the Kupiansk district of the Kharkiv region.

According to the monitoring project DeepState, at the beginning of December, the Defense Forces cleared an organized foothold of the invaders in this settlement. "Attention has since shifted to a second area in Masutovka, which has spread to Dvurechna and is gradually being absorbed by the enemy," analysts note.

The project emphasizes that this cannot be considered a new Russian advance, as the Russians occupied the village approximately a few weeks ago:

"We hoped that the situation would improve, but the command did not attach much importance to it. We have repeatedly pointed out the issue in this area, which arose earlier and was a consequence of the enemy's advances, and today it is progressing."

The report states that the Russians are constantly increasing the number of infantry in the settlement, as well as deploying means of destruction and reinforcing the territory.

"The further it goes, the more difficult it will be to eliminate this foothold, as now the bastards are taking previous mistakes into account. At the same time, the situation around Dvurechna is not getting any better," analysts from the project note.

Fighting for Novomlynsk

As reported by UNIAN, on December 3, the General Staff announced that Ukrainian fighters had expelled the occupiers from the foothold on the right bank of the Oskol River - the occupiers attempted to hold it in the area of the Novomlynsk settlement.

It is known that the clearing operation was carried out by the soldiers of the 8th Separate Assault Battalion of the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade "Edelweiss".
