The Syrian army and opposition groups, which had ceased hostilities following a ceasefire agreement signed in Syria in March 2020, have once again entered a period of conflict after extensive attacks by the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham group. In just three days, the rebels gained control of 550 square kilometers and 70 settlements in Aleppo and Idlib.

This was reported by the publication Haber Türk. Four civilians, including two students, lost their lives due to HTS bombings on university dormitories in Aleppo, Syria.

It is known that Turkey supports the rebel groups in Syria, primarily viewing them as a means to combat the Kurds.

The Kremlin has stated that it wants the Syrian government to restore constitutional order in the region as quickly as possible following the opposition's attack, which has captured land in the Aleppo area for the first time in many years.

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov declared that Moscow considers this attack a violation of Syria's sovereignty and desires that the authorities act swiftly to regain control.

On November 27-28, opposition armed groups, rapidly advancing from the western countryside of Aleppo to the center, took control of 56 villages and settlements.

As of this morning, HTS has gained control of approximately 550 square kilometers along the front line in Idlib and Aleppo.

Ukrainian journalist Denis Kazansky reported that Assad's army is retreating and abandoning weapon depots that are being seized by the opposition.

"Meanwhile, Russian propagandists have lamented that they should not have blown up Prigozhin and disbanded the Wagner Group. Without him, everything in Syria has fallen apart," the report states.

As written by Clash Report, the General Staff of Assad's forces issued an order to evacuate all facilities from Aleppo. Footage confirming the presence of opposition forces in the city center was also released.

Military analyst Igal Levin showcased archived footage of Syrian rebels storming one of Assad's regime positions.

"Once again, it is evident that there are no planes or helicopters in the clear sky. The rebels feel at ease, slowly advancing and deploying their equipment, ultimately taking the position," he noted.

Levin also reported that due to the entry of Syrian rebels into Aleppo, HTS leader Abu Muhammad al-Jolani issued a directive emphasizing the importance of maintaining order and discipline, refraining from infringing on the property of city residents, avoiding the destruction of cultural sites, not frightening children, and not cutting down trees.

"Today is a day of mercy. Anyone who takes refuge in their home, closes their door, and refrains from violence will be safe. Those who announce their exit from the criminal regime, surrender to the revolutionaries, and lay down their arms will also be safe," the document states.

It is worth noting that Syria is one of the few countries that supports Russia in its war against Ukraine. Following Russia's large-scale invasion of Ukraine, there have been numerous reports of Moscow recruiting Syrian citizens to participate in the war against Ukraine within the ranks of the Russian army.

Additionally, it should be remembered that Russia began conducting a special operation in Syria, where combat actions occurred between government forces, various rebel groups, and jihadists.

At that time, the Russian aviation actively bombed Aleppo, and the battle for this city became tragically famous.

Earlier, "Telegraph" reported that dozens of people were injured during the dispersal of the "Maidan" in Georgia.
