On Thursday, November 28, drivers on the "Kyiv-Odesa" highway spotted a herd of goats. The animals were wandering across the roadway and could have caused an accident at any moment.

Patrol officers were called to the scene and promptly initiated an unusual "rescue" operation. This was reported by Odesa's Telegram channels.

On the Kyiv highway near Odesa, two patrol police crews blocked traffic in the far-right lane. The officers activated their flashing lights and stepped out of their vehicles onto the street.

Drivers assumed there had been an accident on the highway and began to slowly maneuver around the police.

To their surprise, the motorists discovered the "culprits of the special operation" — the police were herding the goats off the roadway. The animals had run onto the road and were literally "lost in space" — wandering along the highway and posing a risk for a major accident.

That’s why the patrol officers had to conduct a genuine "rescue" operation to escort the animals to safety.

Whose goats they are remains a mystery, but this unusual sight brought smiles to the drivers' faces.

Recall that in Odesa, a baboon escaped from the zoo. This breed of monkey is known for its aggressive and unpredictable behavior — they can attack people if threatened.

The animal was lured with fruit and attempts were made to coax it down to the ground. At one point, the baboon listened and jumped into a yard, where a woman caught it and threw a blanket over it.

Earlier, "Telegraph" reported that in Kyiv, pets were rescued from a collapsed building. The footage of their reunion with their owners has already touched hearts online.
