The court has chosen a measure of restraint for the suspect in the case of the murder of a serviceman from the Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support (TCRC) in the Poltava region. This was reported by Public.
It is noted that during the court session, the prosecution filed a motion for a measure of restraint in the form of detention for 60 days from the moment of arrest. The prosecutor requested that the right to bail not be granted, arguing that bail was not applicable due to the use of violence against servicemen by the suspect.
At the same time, as the publication states, the suspect's lawyer reported that his client had been actively cooperating with the investigation. In particular, he provided testimony to law enforcement, participated in a investigative experiment, and disclosed the location of the weapon used to injure the serviceman from the TCRC. He also wishes to compensate the victims for both moral and material damages. Therefore, they requested a measure of restraint in the form of round-the-clock house arrest without the right to bail.
"The suspect, Vadim Kuzub, supported his lawyer's motion. In court, he stated that he did not intentionally want to kill the serviceman but aimed to scare and disarm him. According to him, the ambulance took 40 minutes to arrive, which is why they could not save the injured man. Judge Natalia Nagornaya decided on a 60-day detention without the right to bail," the report states.
