Will Putin reciprocate Trump’s efforts to end the war? An expert evaluates the likelihood of this happening.

No one is discussing the madness of the Kremlin leader, the expert pointed out.
Эксперт оценил вероятность, что Путин ответит "взаимностью" на мирные инициативы Трампа по окончанию войны.

Russian President Vladimir Putin will thwart the efforts of newly elected U.S. President Donald Trump to halt the war that Russia is waging against Ukraine, regardless of their nature. Through his actions and words, the dictator currently demonstrates that he will accept no other terms than Ukraine's surrender.

"He is not willing to make concessions. That’s why he is coming out with 'Nutshell' and continues to issue threats. He is threatening not only Ukraine but also Europe and Trump directly. I believe the answer is clear: before discussing anything with Putin or even considering the possibility of negotiations, he needs to be backed into a corner," said military expert Alexander Musienko during the "Zaraz!" program on the YouTube channel Telegraf UA.

He expressed hope that this could be achieved with the help of Ukraine's partners. Additionally, direct assistance from President Trump is essential for this.

"If this doesn’t succeed, then Trump's strategy will align more closely with Biden's strategy, which is to endure Putin, as there is no other way to negotiate with this madman," Musienko noted.

He added that after the presidential elections in the U.S., there were numerous publications speculating on how the situation in Ukraine would unfold. However, the expert pointed out that no one is addressing Putin's madness.

"When discussions about negotiations arise, I get the impression that it seems somewhat abstract, as if Ukraine just needs to want it — and everything will stop. Yet, for some reason, no one talks about how to compel Russia," Musienko stated.

Previously, "Telegraf" reported on the views of Trump's appointed special representative for Ukraine, retired General Keith Kellogg, regarding the resolution of the Russian-Ukrainian war. Specifically, he supports the current U.S. President Joe Biden's decision to allow Kyiv to strike deep into Russian territory with long-range missiles.
