In some regions of Ukraine today, February 4, there will be power outages. Energy officials announced the implementation of emergency shutdowns.
The company DTEK reported on its Telegram channel that residents of Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions will experience power cuts.
"By order of Ukrenergo, emergency shutdowns are being applied again today in Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions," the statement said.
Additionally, in the company "Sumyoblenergo", it was stated that emergency shutdown schedules have been introduced in the region.
"According to the directive from Ukrenergo, emergency shutdowns for the first stage have been in effect in Sumy region since 07:38 AM," the regional energy company clarified.
There will also be power outages in Kirovohrad region. "Kirovohradoblenergo" announced that by the order of "Ukrenergo", an emergency shutdown schedule has been implemented since 07:42 as part of the operational regime of the Unified Energy System of Ukraine.
It is worth noting that this is the second consecutive day that Ukraine is implementing power outage schedules after a long period without cuts.

On February 3, power outage schedules were introduced in a number of regions of Ukraine. Specifically, this included Sumy, Poltava, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, and Donetsk regions.
In "Ukrenergo", it was reported that due to missile and drone attacks on generation facilities and damage to transmission network infrastructure, energy companies are forced to implement emergency shutdowns.
