The head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, stated that the information regarding the region's unpreparedness for the approaching enemy is inaccurate and only serves to incite panic. Systematic fortifications are being constructed in the area. In an interview with "Vydomosti", he shared some details about the fortifications.

"Regarding the construction of fortifications, these tasks are clearly defined by the General Staff. This is the military body that operates along the line of demarcation. The tasks assigned to us are being fulfilled in full. However, I often receive inquiries from people; recently, representatives from Dnipropetrovsk businesses approached me asking, 'What is the status of our fortifications, as we want to consider relocating our business?' We reassured them that there is no need for that. We are in constant contact with the military, and our work regarding fortifications will become even more active, but what needed to be done by this time has already been accomplished," he said.

At the same time, acting commander of the Operational Command "East," Serhiy Sirchenko, noted that all work on the Dnipropetrovsk border concerning the construction of fortifications is being carried out on time.

"There is complete cooperation established with local authorities and the groups executing combat missions. All issues regarding the allocation of personnel and equipment are being addressed according to the schedule approved by the state leadership. All work is being conducted with safety measures in place," he stated.
