Kyiv and Odesa are now experiencing power outages as Ukraine implements emergency shutdowns (updated).

On Thursday, November 28, , following the directive from "Ukrenergo," emergency power outages were implemented in Kyiv, Odesa, Zhytomyr, and Khmelnytskyi. This is due to the threat of massive missile strikes from Russia.

This information has been reported by DTEK. They are acting under the instructions of "Ukrenergo."

At 05:18, emergency power restrictions (GAV) were implemented for the 1st and 2nd consumer groups.

At 05:38, emergency power restrictions (GAV) were implemented for the 3rd to 10th consumer groups.

UPD-2. DTEK informs that emergency power outages have been introduced in Kyiv and the region, as well as in Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, and Donetsk Oblasts.

The situation was also commented on by the Minister of Energy Herman Halushchenko. He confirmed that energy facilities across the country were once again under massive Russian strikes.

"The transmission system operator NEC 'Ukrenergo' has urgently implemented emergency power outages. As soon as the security situation allows, the consequences will be clarified," added the official.

UPD. "Ukrenergo" has officially announced the start of emergency power outages. Specific regions have not been mentioned, indicating that the restrictions will apply throughout Ukraine.

"By order of NEC 'Ukrenergo,' emergency power outages have been implemented. The outage schedules are currently not in effect. Please consume electricity wisely, if you have it, to help stabilize the system,"

As of 6:18, power has gone out in Kyiv following explosions. This was reported by local Telegram channels.

It should be noted that during emergency power outages, there are no clear schedules for when electricity will return to Ukrainian households. Therefore, such information is currently unavailable.
