During a massive missile attack on Ukraine, explosions were heard in Kyiv around 7:55 AM on Thursday, November 28. The capital's air defense forces were active, and debris from enemy missiles fell in two districts.
Update 8:50 Debris has been reported to have fallen in the Darnytsia district of the capital, preliminarily on the territory of an enterprise.
"Several utility buildings and a cargo truck sustained minor damage. No fire reported. There have been no reports of injuries. Operational updates are being clarified," the KMVA informed.
Update 8:13 As a result of the Russian missile strike on Kyiv, debris has been reported to have fallen in the Dnipro district of the capital. Preliminary reports indicate it landed in an open area. There have been no reports of injuries or destruction, clarified Serhiy Popko.
Prior to this, the Air Forces urged residents of Kyiv to take shelter immediately. As of 8:00 AM, approximately 20 missiles were in Ukraine's airspace. A significant portion was in the western region: up to ten groups of cruise missiles were heading towards Khmelnytskyi region and further towards Ternopil region.
Recall that on Thursday morning, the Russians launched a massive missile attack on Ukraine — firing from strategic bombers Tu-95MS and launching "Kalibr" cruise missiles. Odesa was targeted by "Kalibrs". Local reports mention impacts, and a column of smoke rose over the city.
In Kharkiv, three explosions were heard, all in the Kyiv district. The Russians struck a facility with missiles, and preliminary reports indicate no casualties.
Additionally, several explosions occurred in a number of western regions. Targets were recorded in Rivne, Lviv, and Volyn regions.
