Due to the Russian attack, Ternopil has lost power, marking the worst situation since the start of the war (updated).

The power supply is being restored.
В результате атаки россиян Тернополь остался без электричества. Это самая сложная ситуация с начала войны. (обновлено)

On the night of Tuesday, November 26, Russians attacked Ukraine with "Shaheds," particularly targeting the Ternopil region. The enemy damaged the electrical infrastructure that supplies Ternopil, leading to a power outage in the regional center.

The mayor of Ternopil, Serhiy Nadal, wrote on Telegram that due to the consequences of the enemy shelling on the morning of November 26, trolleybuses in the city are temporarily not in operation. Large buses will replace trolleybus No. 11, and the maximum number of vehicles will operate on other routes.

Update 8:05 Nadal stated on the "Kyiv24" broadcast that it is still unknown when power will return to all residents of Ternopil. There are serious damages, and it depends not only on the work of the energy workers but also on the ability to obtain additional power supply. Such a situation with electricity in Ternopil has not been seen before; it is the worst since the beginning of the full-scale war.

The municipal enterprise "Ternopilvodokanal" is gradually restoring water supply in the city. There may be low pressure in the networks. Generators will be launched to supply water.

Most of the city's heating plants are operational and are providing heat to the homes of Ternopil residents. If necessary, their operation will also be supported by generators.

Schools and kindergartens will operate as usual. Those establishments without centralized electricity supply will function using generators.

From 8:00 on November 26, the city will have several heating points:

  • 8 Mykola Lysenko St. — Ternopil City Territorial Center for Social Services (provision of social services)
  • 45 Zluki Ave. — Municipal Enterprise "Ternopil Center for Leisure and Youth Initiatives named after Dovzhenko"
  • 1 Pryvokzalna Square — Ternopil Station
  • 11 Fedkovycha St. — KZ "Children's and Youth Plast Center"

"Energy workers are gradually restoring the city's electricity supply. We hope this will happen as soon as possible," Nadal summarized.

As reported by "Telegraph," on Tuesday, November 26, Ukraine again plans hourly power outages. They will last for 10 hours.
