Exclusion is not an option. What are the discussions in Ukraine regarding a potential renewed Russian offensive on Kyiv?

Belarus consistently maintains a narrative that we pose a threat to their security.
Исключать не стоит. Как в Украине оценивают возможность повторного наступления России на Киев?

For nearly three years of war, military experts have not ruled out the possibility of a renewed enemy offensive on Kyiv. This cannot be disregarded even now.

Such an opinion was expressed by military expert Vladislav Seleznev in an interview with TSN. He states that Putin may utilize Belarus to carry out certain aggressive actions.

"The full-scale war continues. The Kremlin dictator Putin does not take into account the position of the Minsk dictator in any way. Therefore, it is quite likely that he may use both the airspace and the territory of Belarus to implement specific aggressive steps. It is not guaranteed that this will happen, but we cannot rule out such a scenario. Living in illusion is a direct path to collapse," says the military expert.

According to Seleznev, as of today, the borders of Kyiv region and the capital itself are protected in a certain way, although most of the information about this is not disclosed.

What border guards have recorded

Andrey Demchenko, the spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service, comments on the current situation at the threatening directions, particularly the Belarusian-Ukrainian border: "First and foremost, we need to talk about how the situation may change and what threat it poses to Ukraine. Ukrainian intelligence units are monitoring this closely. I would also add that since 2022, Belarus has continuously shifted the responsibility onto Ukraine, claiming that we threaten their security, while forgetting that they opened their border to the Russians for an attack on Ukraine."

He further adds: "Under this pretext, Belarus conducts various types of training and maintains a certain number of its units along the border with Ukraine, presenting it as strengthening their defense capabilities."

Regarding reports of a buildup of military personnel in the border areas of Belarus, Andrey Demchenko provides additional commentary:

"There may be rotations of these units, but their numbers are not increasing. At this time, there is no striking group that poses a threat to our border. No changes in the situation have been recorded. There is also no equipment or personnel in close proximity to our border."

In conclusion, Demchenko states: "I would also remind you that currently, there are no Russian units on the territory of Belarus, as there were last year when the number of Russian soldiers could reach 10-12 thousand. Russia has gradually withdrawn them to its territory and has not brought in new forces as part of rotations."

Earlier, Telegraf reported that Russians are approaching the Dnipropetrovsk region. An analyst shared when fighting might begin there.
