Accidents, poisonings, and stab wounds: a summary of emergency services' work in Dnipropetrovsk over the past week.
In the first week of 2025, emergency medical personnel in Dnipropetrovsk received over 18,000 calls and made more than 10,000 trips, nearly 1,000 of which were to children. A detailed report was released by the director of the Regional Center for Emergency Medical Assistance and Disaster Medicine, Radiy Shevchenko, as reported by "Vidomo".
- The Central Operational Dispatch received 18,063 calls.
- Teams completed over 10,133 trips, including 925 to children.
- More than 3,800 patients were transported to hospitals in the region.
- There were 259 trips for patients with strokes, 59 for those with acute myocardial infarction, 71 related to traffic accidents, 45 for fires, and 11 for knife wounds.
Emergency medical assistance was provided to:
- 7 civilians injured due to enemy attacks in the region,
- 8 patients suffering from carbon monoxide poisoning,
- 15 patients with cold injuries.
Three residents of the region celebrated their second birthday thanks to the successful CPR performed by teams in Dnipro, Pidhirne, and Kryvyi Rih. In Dnipro and Kryvyi Rih district, 2 girls and a boy were helped to be born.
"And the main focus today is the medical evacuations of the wounded defenders. Our indispensable allies are the modern buses 'Nadiya' and 'Czechia' – always in operation,” noted Shevchenko.
Moreover, he mentioned that there were also the first aggressors attacking the teams, who, during curfew, find entertainment by disregarding the work of the service.
"But together we will overcome everything! We save lives and continue to fight – towards Victory!” he emphasized.
