The National Bank of Ukraine set the official exchange rate of the dollar to the hryvnia for Tuesday, January 7, at 42.20 UAH/USD, meaning the hryvnia weakened by 11 kopecks compared to the previous rate. Thus, the dollar has once again reached a historical maximum.
In relation to the euro, the hryvnia has also significantly weakened. According to data from the regulator's website, the official euro exchange rate for Tuesday is set at 43.91 hryvnias per euro, indicating a decrease of 58 kopecks for the hryvnia.
On the interbank currency market of Ukraine, by 16:00, the hryvnia quotes against the dollar settled at 42.23/42.26 UAH/USD, while against the euro it stood at 43.98/43.99 UAH/EUR.

The dollar exchange rate in Ukrainian banks on January 6 increased by 15 kopecks, averaging 42.60 UAH per dollar. The average selling rate for the American currency in banks today is 41.95 UAH per dollar.
The average euro exchange rate against the hryvnia has decreased by 5 kopecks today, amounting to 44.05 UAH per euro. The euro can be sold at a rate of 43.33 UAH per euro.
The dollar exchange rate in "PrivatBank" on January 6 rose by 15 kopecks, reaching 42.60 UAH per dollar. The euro rate decreased by 20 kopecks to 44.20 UAH per euro.
Bloomberg reported that as of January 2, the euro fell to its lowest level against the dollar in the last two years amid concerns regarding the European economy and disagreements in monetary policy with the USA.
