Our planet is situated in the stream of solar wind, which is why Earth inhabitants are experiencing a magnetic storm of 6 points. However, astrophysicists are warning about another wind stream that will cause a new storm by the end of the workweek.
A new solar wind stream, emanating from a canyon-like hole in the Sun's atmosphere, is heading towards Earth. If they collide, a G1 class magnetic storm, which is considered minor, may occur, accompanied by Arctic auroras on Valentine's Day, February 14, as reported by the space weather research site Spaceweather.
According to data from the site Meteoagent, which bases its forecast on satellite systems from NOAA, TESIS, and international scientific meteorological laboratories worldwide, a strong magnetic storm of 6 points is expected on Wednesday, February 12. The following day, its intensity will drop to 5 points. This storm is also anticipated to last through February 14.
However, no fluctuations are expected over the weekend.
Previously, "Telegraph" reported that some regions of Ukraine are expecting snowfall.
