Astro-meteorologists had predicted an increase in the magnetic storm, but that forecast turned out to be incorrect. By the end of Tuesday, January 21, its intensity rose, although by January 22 it had again dropped to an "orange" level. They also warn of a coronal mass ejection (CME), which is likely to trigger a new storm in the coming days.
Sunspot 3967 erupted on January 21, producing an M3-class explosion, which is considered strong. It is directed towards Earth, as warned by scientists from the space weather research site Spaceweather.
According to NASA models, the CME is expected to reach our planet on January 24 and could lead to a minor G1-class geomagnetic storm.
As stated in the Meteoagent forecast, which is based on NOAA, TESIS satellite systems, and international meteorological laboratories worldwide, on January 22, an average magnetic storm of 4 points is expected on Earth. The following day, January 23, no geomagnetic fluctuations at the "red" level are anticipated.
However, on January 24, scientists predict the resurgence of a geomagnetic storm at 4 points, although its intensity is expected to decrease by the weekend.
It is worth noting that earlier "Telegraph" reported that bad weather is expected to hit Ukraine. Meteorologists indicated where to expect unexpected rains on January 23.
