The story of the so-called "alien mummies" in Peru continues to unfold following the discovery of two new specimens named Paloma and Antonio, reports DailyMail.

The two new mummies were found in the same location as all previous ones — in the Nazca desert. The very first "alien mummy" was discovered there about 7 years ago by journalist and ufologist Jaime Maussan.

Paloma and Antonio share the same three fingers as the earlier mummies. However, this time, the mummies have small slanted eyes, and their height resembles that of a "short adult human."

The discovered mummies were analyzed by former president of the Peruvian Medical Association, David Ruiz Vela. He confirmed that the "alien mummies" possess very human-like organs, including a distinctive brain structure.

According to Ruiz, Antonio also shows signs of a knife wound in the chest area, and Paloma has traces of hair — a first among Peruvian mummies. The expert estimates that both mummies are around 1500 years old.

Researchers suggest that the bodies have been well-preserved due to algae, which slowed the decomposition process. However, a highly toxic glue was also found in the mummies, which does not align with their presumed age.

In total, about a dozen similar bodies have been found and presented by Maussan in the Congress of Mexico. The mummies were supposed to serve as irrefutable evidence of extraterrestrial beings that once visited Earth. However, the scientific community concluded that the presented "aliens" are merely dolls, sometimes made from actual remains.

Yet, the latest discoveries do not resemble the previous mummies found by Maussan.

First and foremost, Paloma and Antonio differ in their facial features as well as size. Another distinguishing feature is the knife wound in Antonio's chest.

"He was stabbed, which broke the ribs on the left side of the chest and pierced him through," Ruiz stated.

The medical expert believes Antonio was killed at the age of 60.

"We also found a desiccated body with hair for the first time; it was copper-colored," added the expert who conducted the analysis of the mummies.

At the same time, journalist Joyce Mantilla, who is dedicated to proving the authenticity of the mummies, announced that more details about the Peruvian mummies, including the location of their discovery, will emerge in 2025. For now, researchers are keeping it a secret to protect the site from looters.

As a reminder, the hand of an "alien mummy" from Peru was dissected, revealing something unexpected. A group of researchers claims to have found a metallic implant in the three-fingered hand of the "alien."
