In the near future, European countries will establish a unified stance on the war in Ukraine and their own security to present to the United States.

This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in a video address to the people of Ukraine. According to him, at the Securing Our Future summit, everyone agreed that the real world demands real security guarantees. In the coming weeks, numerous meetings are anticipated as part of diplomacy for peace.

"Of course, we recognize the importance of America. We are grateful for all the support we have received from the United States. There hasn't been a day when we haven't felt this gratitude," the president added.

Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine needs peace, not perpetual war, and that the key to ending the war lies in security guarantees:

"In the near future, we will all in Europe formulate our positions, our common positions. The lines we must reach and the lines we cannot retreat from. Such positions will be presented to our partners in the United States. Reliability, the duration of peace, and the right agreement to end the war are our shared priorities."

Summit in London

On March 2, the "Securing Our Future" summit took place in the United Kingdom, focusing on strengthening Europe's defense capabilities and supporting Ukraine amid ongoing aggression from Russia. Leaders from European countries, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, and other high-ranking officials participated in the event.

The United Kingdom announced that it would provide Ukraine access to export financing totaling over £1.5 billion for the procurement of more than 5,000 anti-aircraft missiles. Additionally, EU leaders agreed on the urgent need to enhance defense capabilities and increase military spending.

Following the summit, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with King Charles III of the United Kingdom at Sandringham Palace.
