"Zelensky is scared": Fico has once again made a series of pro-Russian statements.

The Prime Minister of Slovakia hopes that the United States and Europe will stop supporting Ukraine in order to resume trade with Russia.
"Зеленский в страхе": Фицо снова сделал ряд пророссийских заявлений.

The Prime Minister of Slovakia, Robert Fico, expressed his delight at Donald Trump's victory in the U.S. elections and suggested that he would distance himself from the war between Russia and Ukraine. According to him, the leaders of the EU were thrown into confusion by this development, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was allegedly frightened.

Fico made these remarks during a broadcast on Slovak Radio, and his comments were reported by local media. The politician is convinced that if Washington steps away from the war, Europe should follow suit.

He claimed that Zelensky was reportedly shocked by Trump's election win and the possibility of halting military aid.

"Have you ever seen someone who fears the end of a war? I have. His name is President Zelensky," he stated.

At the same time, Fico reiterated Russian narratives suggesting that the Ukrainian president lacks a political mandate, and that Ukraine can only exist due to substantial foreign loans.

The Slovak Prime Minister also asserted that if the U.S. "withdraws from the war," Europe should do the same. He mentioned that Slovakia is already working on two fronts, trying to maintain relations with both the West and Russia.

"What will happen when the war ends? Everyone will return to the Russian market. So why shouldn't we have standardized relations with Russia?" he added.

As previously reported, Fico has been known for his pro-Russian stance since the beginning of his tenure, and in late October, he even gave an interview to Russian propaganda media. This sparked a wave of criticism within Slovakia, with a former prime minister labeling him a "collaborating ferret".
