Last night, drones from the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and Special Operations Forces (SSO) targeted the Alekseevsky Chemical Plant in the Tula region, which is part of the "Rostec" corporation and produces ammunition, gunpowder, and materials for the Russian military-industrial complex. This information was reported by sources within the Security Service of Ukraine to UNIAN.
It was noted that starting from 21:30, air raid alerts were declared in various regions of the Russian Federation due to drone flights, and at 3 AM, residents of the Tula region began reporting an attack on the chemical plant, explosions, and the movement of fire trucks heading to the site of the fire.
"The SBU is comprehensively targeting facilities on the territory of the Russian Federation that are involved in the war in Ukraine. Striking warehouses with weapons, military airfields, and enterprises that are part of the Russian military-industrial complex reduces Russia's ability to terrorize our country," an informed source in the SBU stated.
Updated at 16:15. Subsequently, the SBU disclosed details of the strike, noting that at least 13 drones hit the chemical plant during the night.
Reports indicate that due to an acid release, the key target—a gunpowder production workshop—is now emitting orange smoke. Additionally, at 13:10, another explosion was recorded at the site, igniting chemical substances as a result of previous strikes.
The plant is currently shut down, and the personnel have been evacuated.
Moreover, there are reports of damage to the Alekseevskaya TPP, with a 110 kV power line being affected.
