Early in the morning on Wednesday, December 11, a car caught fire at Darniцьka Square in Kyiv. The causes of the incident are currently being investigated.
Video footage of the blazing vehicle is published by the Telegram channel "Real Kyiv." As seen in the clips, flames engulfed the front part of the car.
Emergency services from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine arrived at the scene. They extinguished the fire. At the time of this publication, there is no information regarding the cause of the fire.
It’s important to note that on December 11, the roads in Kyiv are quite hazardous due to wet snow falling since the morning. Meteorologists from the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center warned that throughout the day on December 11, some regions of Ukraine, including Kyiv, are expected to experience icy conditions, wet snow accumulation, and icy roads (Level I danger, yellow).
Earlier, "Telegraph" reported that in Kyiv, only 35% of traffic lights are operational under the current power outage schedules. In a large city like the capital, this poses risks, especially during winter rains, frosts, fog, and icy conditions, which can significantly increase the number of traffic accidents.
