
Kyiv City Council member Sergey Mamoyan was involved in a car accident and died at the scene yesterday, November 3rd.
"Sergey Mamoyan, as a member of the Kyiv City Council and a member of the permanent commission on transport, communication, and advertising, always worked for the benefit of the city and its residents. He was a staunch advocate for public interests, supported infrastructure development, and, along with like-minded individuals, worked towards making Kyiv a true European capital. Unfortunately, life can be unfair and takes people away when they are at the height of their strength," - noted the city council's press service.
As clarified by UNIAN in the regional department of the National Police, the accident that claimed the deputy's life occurred yesterday at around 19:00 in the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi region, within the territory of the Starokazatska community.
It was reported that a 40-year-old resident of Kyiv region, driving a "Toyota" SUV, lost control on a roundabout section of the road. As a result, the vehicle veered into a ditch, overturned, and caught fire.

"As a result of the traffic accident, the driver and a 52-year-old woman, who was in the front passenger seat, died at the scene, while two other passengers in the rear seats sustained injuries and were hospitalized. The 51-year-old woman was diagnosed with spinal and upper limb bruises, while the 55-year-old man suffered fractures of the collarbone and ribs," - police press service reported.
According to the head of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district police department, Pavlo Bobchynskyi, investigators have initiated proceedings under part 3 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. A number of forensic examinations have been appointed, and the full circumstances of the incident are being established.

What is known about Sergey Mamoyan
The man was born on April 1, 1984, in Karakert, Armenia, but was a citizen of Ukraine, had a wife, and three children. He graduated from high school in Kyiv in 2002 and obtained a bachelor's degree in "International Relations" from the Kyiv Slavic University in 2015.
Mamoyan held managerial positions at LLC "MALDS Group," and from 2015, he headed the NGO "Building the Future." In the same year, he was elected as a deputy of the Poltava Regional Council, and in 2020, he became a deputy of the Kyiv City Council representing the OPZZH party.
In the capital's body, Sergey served as the deputy chairman of the commission on transport and communication. According to data from the "Chesno" movement, he ignored nearly 47% of the issues in his deputy activities.
