The British Prime Minister Keir Starmer condemned the Russian attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure on December 25 and urged the West to "double down on determination" in supporting Ukraine.
According to The Times, Starmer praised the "resilience" of the Ukrainian people following the widespread strikes on Ukraine during Christmas.
"I pay tribute to the resilience of the Ukrainian people and the leadership of President Zelensky in the face of further drone and missile attacks from Putin's bloody and brutal war machine, without respite, even on Christmas," he stated.
He emphasized the need to position Ukraine in the "strongest possible" stance to counter Russian aggression.
"As we enter the New Year, we must double our resolve to put Ukraine in the strongest possible position and put an end to Russia's illegal aggression against the Ukrainian people," he remarked.
