On Saturday, November 9, Russian invaders struck the city of Kupiansk (Kharkiv region), resulting in significant destruction and casualties, with one person injured.
According to preliminary reports, the attackers launched a KAB-1500 missile at Kupiansk, as stated by the Kharkiv regional prosecutor's office.
The airstrike occurred around 11 a.m.
Law enforcement sources indicate that the victims were passersby - a woman and a man, whose identities are being established:
"As a result of the shelling, power lines fell on two passersby. A fire broke out. Unfortunately, the individuals died on the spot. Their bodies were severely burned."
Additionally, a 61-year-old man was wounded in the airstrike, 15 garages were destroyed, and several apartment buildings, private residences, and utility structures sustained damage.
A pre-trial investigation has been initiated under part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - violation of the laws and customs of war.

The attackers have repeatedly targeted Kupiansk with various weapons, causing extensive destruction, casualties, and injuries.
At the end of October, the head of the Kupiansk city military administration, Andrei Besedin, stated that the enemies are positioned 2.5-3 kilometers away from the city.
According to the commander of the "Achilles" battalion of the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine named after Ataman Sirko, Yuriy Fedorenko, it is unlikely that the Russians will be able to capture Kupiansk before the New Year.
