In the morning, Russia launched a strike with ballistic missiles on Kyiv, resulting in fires caused by falling debris, with reports indicating four fatalities so far.

Initially, the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Timur Tkachенко, reported that three individuals died in the Shevchenkivskyi district due to the enemy attack. Later, he updated the death toll to four, with three others injured.

According to his information, debris was also reported to have fallen in the Desnyanskyi district.

The Mayor of Kyiv, Vitaliy Klitschko, stated that windows were shattered in the Shevchenkivskyi district and there is smoke in the entrance of a residential building, as well as damage to the "Lukyanivska" metro station.

"Glass elements at the entrance to the 'Lukyanivska' metro station have been damaged. It is currently closed for entry and exit. Trains are passing through without stopping at the station," Klitschko wrote.

Additionally, he mentioned that a water supply pipeline was also damaged in the Shevchenkivskyi district.

Videos are being shared online showing streets near the Lukyanivka metro station flooded with water.

The State Emergency Service reported on the aftermath of the attack and shared photos.

"The fire of three vehicles has been extinguished. Ten vehicles have sustained damage. There is also partial destruction of an administrative building, a business center, and a store. A main water pipeline has been damaged. A fire was discovered in one of the buildings, which has now been localized," the statement said.

Recall that on January 17, Russia struck Kryvyi Rih in the Dnipropetrovsk region, damaging an educational institution and residential buildings, leading to four deaths and 14 injuries. Five injured individuals remain hospitalized, three of whom are in serious condition. In total, four children were affected.
