During the night and morning, Russia conducted yet another airstrike on Ukraine, utilizing ballistic missiles and dozens of drones. The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine provided details about the attack and the response of the air defense.
Reports indicate that the enemy targeted 39 "Shahed" strike drones and various types of mimicry drones from the directions of Millerovo, Bryansk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, along with deploying four "Iskander-M"/KN-23 ballistic missiles (launched from the Voronezh and Bryansk regions).
It has been noted that Ukrainian air defense managed to intercept two "Iskander-M"/KN-23 ballistic missiles in the Kyiv region.
Additionally, 24 "Shahed" strike drones and other types of unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed in the Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Khmelnytskyi, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Donetsk regions. Another 14 enemy mimicry drones were lost locally.
"Unfortunately, as a result of the enemy strike on Kyiv, people have died - the downed ballistic missiles fell in the Shevchenkivskyi district of the city. A production building was partially destroyed, and homes, metro entrances, vehicles, and the main water pipeline were damaged," the State Emergency Service reports.
In Zaporizhzhia, there is currently no preliminary information about casualties, but there are injuries, and search operations are ongoing. It is noted that the enemy struck a facility in the city with ballistic missiles, causing damage to homes and vehicles.
Details of the Russian Attack
In the morning, Russia launched a ballistic missile strike on Kyiv, with fires reported due to falling debris; currently, four fatalities and three injuries have been confirmed.
The enemy also targeted the center of Zaporizhzhia, with reports of 10 injured individuals so far.
