Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukraine has surpassed the production mark of the first hundred units of missile armaments this year.
The head of state made this statement during an evening address. Specifically, a meeting was held today regarding Ukrainian special production, domestic strategic industries, and Ukrainian weapons. The meeting included a report from Alexander Kamyshin, an advisor to the President of Ukraine on strategic issues.
"This year, we have achieved significant results in several areas. This includes our Ukrainian artillery - our shells, our guns. It also includes drones - of various types, for different tasks - which not only aid the front in defending positions and destroying the occupier but also strike deeper into Russia. We will continue to expand this. We have crossed the mark of the first hundred units of missile armaments this year," Zelensky stated.
At the same time, the president did not disclose details about the missile armaments but thanked everyone involved in this production, who is organizing the relevant processes. "We will continue to enhance this direction," the president added.
The head of state informed that currently more than 800 companies are working on producing weapons for the Defense and Security Forces of Ukraine.
For the first time in over 30 years of independence, there are not just isolated investment steps from partners in Ukraine, but also systematic models for investment. The president noted that, in particular, this is the model from Denmark, which invests and attracts funds into production:
"We have also reached an agreement with France on a slightly different model - involving technology transfer and establishing corresponding production facilities. There are also preliminary agreements with other partners regarding the localization of weapon production in Ukraine. This is something that will continuously strengthen us."
