Agents of the partisan movement "ATESH" have recorded the movement of a column of military tractors with buggies — the Chinese-manufactured all-terrain vehicles "Desertcross 1000-3" along the M-4 highway heading towards Kursk. The column was spotted on the stretch between Rostov-on-Don and Voronezh (Russia).
This information was reported on the Telegram channel "ATESH". This equipment is intended for reconnaissance and surveillance operations, raids, cargo transportation, and evacuation of the wounded. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the Russian army has already received 537 such vehicles, and it plans to purchase an additional 1,590 units by the end of 2024.
"The accumulation of buggies may indicate the preparation of Russian troops for raid and sabotage operations in the Kursk region and other border areas with Ukraine. Furthermore, it may suggest a broader deployment of this type of equipment along the entire front line", the report states.
Recall that the Russians announced the purchase of Chinese buggies Desertcross 1000-3 back in November 2023. Soon, this equipment was spotted on the front lines.
As reported by "Telegraph," the head of the Sumy regional military administration, Vladimir Artyukh, stated that the Kursk operation prevented a breach of the border by Russians in Sumy region. According to him, the Russian army was indeed accumulating forces for this purpose.
