The Russian occupiers executed a captured soldier of the Defense Forces who was injured and unarmed. This was reported by the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada for Human Rights Dmitry Lubinets.
"The occupiers have no limits to their cynicism and cruelty! The Russians shot what is likely an injured unarmed Ukrainian warrior. They recorded it on video, which is spreading online," the ombudsman stated.
According to Lubinets, he will send a corresponding letter to the UN and the International Committee of the Red Cross. The ombudsman emphasized that the execution of prisoners is a violation of the Geneva Conventions, international humanitarian law, and the laws and customs of war.

As reported by UNIAN, the Russians systematically execute captured soldiers of the Defense Forces and even civilian Ukrainians in combat zones. The most recent known case occurred just a few days ago in the Pokrovsk direction. According to the Office of the Prosecutor General, the occupiers executed six prisoners.
We also reported that at the end of October, in the recently occupied city of Selidovo, the Russians shot at a civilian vehicle and two women.
