Governor of the Kaluga Region in Russia, Vladislav Shapsha, reported that as a result of an attack by Ukrainian drones, there was a fire at an industrial facility in the city of Lyudinovo.

He did not specify which particular facility was involved, but local Telegram channels mention a fire at the local oil storage facility.

"An operational group is working on-site, along with rescue service personnel. According to preliminary information, there are no casualties," Shapsha wrote.

Meanwhile, local residents told the Telegram channel SHOT that around 10:00 PM, several explosions were heard over the city, after which "a fire broke out in the area of the local oil depot." Eyewitnesses reported that a large number of fire trucks were heading to the burning oil depot in Lyudinovo.

Social media has published footage showing a significant fire and smoke plumes in the city.

Users on social media indicated that the incident pertains to the oil depot and storage facility of "Kaluganefteprodukt" in Lyudvinovo. This is not the first attack on this site, as the oil storage in Lyudvinovo has been targeted by drones three times in 2024.
