In the Dnipropetrovsk region, expert teams have begun operating at 25 healthcare institutions as part of a reform that has abolished the MSEC. This was reported by the Deputy Director of the Health Department of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Svitlana Rostochilo, as conveyed by "Vidomo".
"Starting from January 1, expert assessment teams for evaluating the daily functioning of individuals have commenced operations in Dnipropetrovsk region, just like in the rest of Ukraine, replacing the former MSEC. By order of the head of the Dnipropetrovsk military administration, 25 healthcare institutions have been approved, where 101 teams are operating. A total of 424 doctors have been engaged in these teams. These are the most advanced hospitals, equipped with all necessary technical resources and offering the best accessibility and staffing," she stated.
According to her, specialized teams focusing on narrow profiles are working at super-cluster healthcare institutions. Specifically, teams have been formed in the fields of psychiatry, oncology, cardiology, and physiopulmonology, as well as ophthalmology teams.
"Additionally, at the cluster healthcare institutions, there are currently 29 general teams, 12 general surgical teams, 9 cardiac surgical teams, 14 trauma teams, and 17 surgical teams. A list of registered expert teams, their profiles, and contact information is available on the website of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine," Rostochilo emphasized.
Certain healthcare institutions have received cases from the former MSEC, including consumables. More than 4,000 cases are scheduled for review in the first quarter of 2025.
"These cases are already being processed by the new expert teams. They have been entered into an electronic system specifically designed for assessing the daily functioning of individuals. To date, our expert teams have made 1,474 decisions," reported the Deputy Director of the Health Department of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration.
