People's Deputy from "European Solidarity" Viktoria Syumar, who is married to the controversial Dmytro Khrystiuk, worked in the media before entering the Verkhovna Rada.
Prior to obtaining her deputy mandate, she was a teacher at a capital school, worked as a journalist, hosted political programs, and even taught at the Institute of Journalism at Taras Shevchenko National University.
Viktoria Syumar, who was dubbed in media as one of the most beautiful women in politics during the independent Ukraine era, looked somewhat different back then: she was plump.
From 1999 to 2003, the future deputy worked as a freelance correspondent for the "Voice of America" radio station and as a journalist for the "Continent" radio station. From 2002 to 2005, she headed the political department at "Public Radio."
Until 2014, she served as the executive director of the organization "Institute of Mass Information." Viktoria Syumar also has experience on television as a chronicler for the program "Shuster Live" on the "Ukraina" channel, and in 2013 — on "5 Channel." During that time, the deputy transformed and became slimmer.
4 5After the flight of Viktor Yanukovych, Syumar was appointed by Turchynov as Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (from February 28 to June 6, 2014). In the 2014 parliamentary elections, she ranked 7th on the "People's Front" party list and was elected as a people's deputy. In the early parliamentary elections of 2019, Syumar ran from the "European Solidarity" party led by Petro Poroshenko.
In 2018, Viktoria Syumar married Dmytro Khrystiuk. Earlier, "Telegraf" investigated what is known about the deputy's husband and the scandals he was involved in.
